Deanna Ackerman, CFRE, Chief Executive Officer

Deanna Ackerman is a results-oriented professional distinguished by nearly two decades of volunteer and professional leadership within the nonprofit sector. She has raised millions of dollars for nonprofit operations, programs and capital projects. She possesses a comprehensive background in fundraising, grant writing, marketing, and nonprofit management.

She has served as a consultant to national and local organizations such as the National Spinal Cord Injury Association, United Way of Southern Nevada, Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas, Legal Services of Northern Virginia, and many others. Deanna has provided consulting services to hundreds of board members and staff in Nevada, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC markets to enhance their ability to fundraise and improve operations.

As a development expert, Deanna has also served as a grant reviewer for the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, The Corporation for National Service, The Office of Justice Programs, Nevada Volunteers, and St. Rose Dominican Hospitals.

Deanna is the creator, publisher, and editor of the Nevada Nonprofit News, a statewide electronic publication for nonprofit professionals. She is a member of the Las Vegas and Sierra Nevada Chapters of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and serves on the National AFP Awards Committee. In her spare time, Deanna volunteers for various charitable organizations.
